NEW CATEGORY. Yup, you guessed right. In this new category I share with you a piece of clothing, jewelry, furniture or whatever else catches my eye. Last weekend I went on a window shopping spree and fell (amongst many other pieces) head over heels for this Rita skirt by Coast. Perfect for Christmas season, don’t you think? Just imagine it combined with a chunky white knit or a simple silky blouse and some dainty jewelry… there are endless options to give this stunning piece the attention it deserves.
FASHION WEEKEND. On Friday a friend and I attended the London Fashion Weekend and even though we literally didn’t buy a thing, save for a few glasses of bubbly, the experience was a lot of fun. About 80 designers and brands took part in this season’s consumer fashion showcase; amongst them brands such as House of Harlow, Muubaa, Kat Maconie, etc. Levi’s also set up a pop-up store including a stage showcasing aspiring artists throughout the weekend. Our feet needed rest and so we sat down for the performance of singer-songwriter (anyone else tired of that title/description?) Indiana. To be honest, I don’t think the acoustic set did the singer justice. There was something odd about that single electric guitar accompanying her. But after checking a couple of her videos on YouTube I realised that her music, which she describes as ‘moody electronica with 80s inspired synths and haunting vocals’, makes sense and isn’t half-bad. It’s actually convincing. I’m definitely gonna keep an eye on her. All in all it was a very enjoyable evening full of fashion, music, and most importantly people watching (let’s be honest, that’s the best part about these fashion events anyway, isn’t it?).
HEY BIG SPENDER. Last Sunday Panu and I went on a little shopping spree at Westfield shopping center in London/White City. And boy was it busy. It’s crazy how many people and in particular families use Sundays to go shopping at a mall. I really hope it’s just the frantic pre-Christmas time. Anyhow, for my upcoming trip I was in desperate need for warm jumpers and a proper coat. Needless to say that it didn’t stop there and in my bag went also a pair of heels, sunglasses, a statement necklace, and one of my favourite perfumes, because I ran out a couple of days ago. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a coat – every year it’s such a hassle finding one – so I either go back to the stores and make up my mind or I will tragically freeze to death. Wish me luck!
