BACK IN LONDON. Sorry for my absence. It feels strange to neglect the blog for that long, but unfortunately I had no other choice. In China I couldn’t access WordPress or any social media for that matter. But now I’m back in London and ready to step up my game. China was wonderful and I can’t wait to show you some pictures and tell you all about my trip. But first I want to show you a look we shot before I left for Asia.
BAND T-SHIRTS. Styling band t-shirts can be a challenge sometimes. The most obvious combination is probably with a pair of ripped jeans/shorts and boots. I love band t-shirts, because they combine two of my greatest passions: music and fashion. These shirts are a staple in my wardrobe. They always come in handy when I have to get ready in 5 minutes and feel like I have nothing to wear and have no other choice than grabbing something random from my closet.
The other day I was thinking that it would not hurt to get out of my comfort zone and came up with a little experiment that is going to be featured here on the blog. May I introduce to you: “The Ramones T-Shirt Series”. The series is going to consist of several parts – my guess being something like five different outfits – in which I am going to style different looks around my Ramones t-shirt. This time, to create a sporty yet feminine look, I paired it with a fitted skirt in mint green and a pair of black & white Chuck Taylor All Stars, which match the print of the shirt perfectly. I kept the accessories at a minimum and only wore an old pair of green sunglasses and a clear bracelet. Enjoy and rock on!
GRAVEL PIT. Let’s be honest, I always wanted to play in a massive sandpit. Finally, my dream came true and I got to slide down hill after hill in a gravel pit we found near Kivijärvi, Eastern Finland. Though, I must admit that my choice of white ripped shorts was not the most appropriate for the occasion, but it was definitely worth it considering the fun we had taking these shots. Back in Barcelona I wore an outfit quite similar to the one in this shoot, but this time I combined it with my Converse shoes and white ripped shorts to give the look a sporty touch.
ROAD TRIPS. I have been to Barcelona before, to be exact for the New Year’s celebrations back in 2008/2009. Unfortunately, the memories are not all that great considering that – cliché – my purse got stolen at a party on New Year’s Eve. You can imagine that after this incident the rest of my stay was less than amazing. However, the city still worked its charm on me. I wanted to come back for better experiences, that much I was sure of. This year the opportunity finally came with a visit to the Primavera Sound festival, which coincidentally was organised on the weekend of my birthday. How better celebrate it than with great tunes under the sun in Spain? Or so I thought.
