A DREAM COME TRUE. I can’t even tell you for how long I’ve been lusting over platinum blonde hair. I’ve always liked to experiment with different cuts and colours. And yes, of course I also went through a troubled teenage phase where all I wanted was a head of dreadlocks. You can imagine that my mom was less than thrilled. It’s safe to say that she hasn’t been that shocked in like ever when she first saw the mess on my head she once called hair. But I didn’t give her (or my ballet teacher for that matter) a break – no, nope. From then on I regularly sported pretty much every colour you can imagine.

A Stripey Affair

SILK BLOUSES. Let’s talk summer essentials. I know, I know, it’s August already and therefore probably the last month of summer – at least here in the UK. But it’s not quite too late yet. Summers are certainly all about colours and light fabrics, or so they say. Whereas I fully agree with wearing light materials, I have to admit that I am somewhat insubordinate to¬† the peer pressure of wearing cheery bright colours at all times during the warm months. I mean, is it so terrible to wear black and neutrals during summers? I love my black, my neutral colours, and sure, also the occasional pop of colour. Who else is absolutely over people asking ‘Aren’t you terribly hot in this dark outfit’?

When Orange Meets Yellow

COLOUR EXPLOSION. Wearing bright colours in a comfortable fashion is not really what I’d consider my strong suit. Don’t get me wrong, I love bright colours in accessories and shoes, but somehow I often reach for rather muted colours save for the occasional neon statement piece. Yet, when this checked yellow/white coat caught my eye, I was immediately drawn to it for some odd reason. Maybe it’s the classic shape, but I saw lots of options how I could and would wear it.
