“Temples, who last week bagged the prestigious top spot in Rough Trade Shops Albums of the Year list for their debut album Sun Structures, have announced details of a couple of very special ‘collaborations’ at their forthcoming London and Manchester shows.
The band will be joined on stage in Manchester and London by a classical ensemble, arranged by composer Joe Duddell. Duddell, who earlier this year collaborated with Temples at Festival No.6 as part of his role as the festival’s ‘Composer in Residence’, trained at the Royal Academy Of Music and has previously worked with Elbow, Richard Hawley. The Hallé Orchestra and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, amongst others.
Additionally, acclaimed liquid light artists ‘Mad Alchemy’ will provide the show’s visuals. The band previously worked with ‘Mad Alchemy’, who hail from Sacramento, California, on a number of their recent US dates. The band have also announced details of a very special vinyl edition of their recent Sun Restructured album which is exclusive to Rough Trade Shops to celebrate the Album Of The Year slot.”
